Derithon the Mage or Derithon of Helde was a military wizard in the Old Ethshar Ethsharatic army. He became involved with Karanissa of the Mountains in 4757 YS after meeting her in the course of her military service.
Derithon was killed in 4762 YS when his flying castle crossed into a zone of no wizardry and crashed in a remote mountain valley near the 5220 YS border between the small kingdoms of Dwomor and Aigoa.
