Portrait of a Hero is one of the Ethshar Short Stories. A tale about what happens when Wuller Wulran's son is sent out from his small village in the backwaters of Srigmor to find a woman shown by a Sorcerer's Oracle to be able to rid the village of the dragon which has enslaved it. Wuller finds the woman he was shown, Seldis of Aldagmor, a merchant in dragon's blood from the Baronies of Sardiron, and brings her back to the village where the village folk find her to be both more and less than they expected.
